1. Information collected
Website inquiries. When you request an assessment, we receive the name, email address, company, company size, service interest, and project description you submit. The form sends those details to our business inbox by email. We also receive the information you voluntarily provide in support correspondence. Do not submit passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
Jorik account and contact information (planned). Jorik is intended to process user phone numbers and email addresses, designated emergency contacts’ details, and GPS location. A contact’s number or email may be supplied by the app user; designation is not the contact’s consent to SMS.
Required operational records (planned). The intended service also requires check-in settings and events, contact designation and acceptance status, and records of SMS consent, opt-out, and delivery. Consent records should include the relevant number, program, date, method, and disclosure version. These are necessary operational records, not a claim that they are already being collected.
Technical information. Website hosting, email, and messaging services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request timestamps, browser information, message routing, and delivery status to deliver services and protect against abuse. We do not require these details in the public assessment form.
2. How information is used, including GPS location
- Respond to assessment inquiries and support requests and communicate about requested services.
- For Jorik when available, manage accounts, designated contacts, check-ins, consent choices, and service notifications.
- With the app user’s authorization, include the user’s last available location in a missed-check-in notification to designated contacts who have agreed to receive the relevant alerts.
- Maintain consent and suppression records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Location is sensitive. Jorik must explain its location permissions and obtain the necessary authorization before collecting or sharing GPS location. This policy does not itself grant location permission or authorize unrestricted tracking. Location may be outdated, inaccurate, or unavailable. Device settings can limit or revoke location access; doing so can affect location-based alerts. The app’s permission flow must explain any background-location collection before enabling it.
Where a lawful basis is required, processing must rely on an applicable basis such as your consent, providing a requested service, security interests where legally permitted, or a legal obligation. Location and SMS permissions must be obtained separately where required.
4. Mobile information and SMS consent
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or consent records with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent to Jorik Emergency Contact Alerts is specific to Jorik and is not transferable to another app, sender, or advertising program.
SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their own purposes. Restricted service providers, including messaging providers and carriers, may process information only as needed to fulfill the requested program, support it, maintain consent or suppression records, or comply with law—not for independent marketing or unrelated uses. Consent cannot be sold, rented, or transferred to another sender or program. No third-party marketing sharing is authorized by accepting these policies.
Providing a phone number, being designated as a contact, account registration, or failure to opt out does not establish SMS consent. See the SMS Opt-in Policy for the required affirmative consent process, message examples, and STOP/HELP instructions. Message and data rates may apply; frequency varies.
5. Retention and security
Information should be kept only for as long as needed to provide the requested service, manage inquiries, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Jorik’s detailed retention periods, including GPS history and backup retention, are not yet finalized and must be set before launch. This policy does not promise indefinite retention or a specific deletion deadline.
Consent evidence and minimal opt-out suppression records may need to be retained to demonstrate lawful messaging and prevent unwanted re-enrollment, even after an account or other information is deleted. Access to these records should be limited to the relevant operational or legal purpose.
We aim to use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No internet, email, SMS, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. SMS is not end-to-end encrypted; consider the sensitivity of location information before authorizing its transmission.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, restriction of processing, or withdrawal of consent. Email info@eeshasolutions.com with your request. We may need to verify your authority without requesting unnecessary sensitive information. Applicable legal exceptions and response deadlines apply.
Designated contacts may contact us about information supplied by another user. You can decline or revoke SMS consent without closing an account. Reply STOP to a program message or email us with “SMS opt-out” and the relevant phone number. Reply HELP for program assistance when messaging is active. Email and other channel preferences are separate; SMS opt-out must not be used to enroll you automatically in another channel.
Withdraw location permission through your device or the app’s available controls, and contact us about previously collected location information. Withdrawing permission does not undo information already lawfully sent to a contact. Where applicable, you may also contact your local privacy regulator.
8. Children and lawful eligibility
There is no blanket numerical age minimum in these policies. That does not waive children’s privacy laws, parental consent requirements, legal capacity rules, or messaging-provider restrictions. Registration, location processing, and SMS opt-in are available only when legally permitted and required safeguards are in place.
Where children’s privacy rules require notice and verifiable parental consent, those safeguards must be satisfied before collecting covered personal information. If we learn that information has been collected without a required safeguard, we will take appropriate steps to restrict processing and remove it as required by law. Contact us about any such concern.
9. Policy changes and contact
We will update this page and its date when practices change. Material changes affecting users will be communicated through an appropriate available channel or prominent notice where required. Updated wording does not replace legally required consent or reinstate withdrawn SMS consent.
These practices are subject to applicable United States federal, North Carolina, and other privacy laws that apply to the relevant processing. Nothing here limits mandatory rights in your jurisdiction.
